People in Need Foundation (PNF) is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to driving positive change through empowering underprivileged communities in Andhra Pradesh, India. For over 18 years, our organization has been committed to uplifting lives through enduring initiatives focused on fostering dignity, quality of life, and equal opportunity for disadvantaged groups, with emphasis on women and children.
Emerging from a collective vision of compassionate young volunteers in 2005, PNF has evolved from small-scale localized efforts to now annually impacting over 32,000 lives across the region. Our programs address pressing issues like poverty, inequality, and social injustice. Through a holistic approach and unwavering commitment to humanity, we cultivate inclusive environments where marginalized individuals can overcome adversity and unfold their full potential.

Our programmes
Education and Child Safety
At People in Need Foundation, we believe nurturing children is central to creating a just and equitable society. Our education and safety initiatives take a holistic approach to uplift underprivileged children.
Skill Development and livelihood
For disadvantaged youth lacking qualifications and skills,we provide targeted training programs that boost their employability and empower them through livelihoods.
Undernourishment significantly impacts the well-being of children living with HIV/AIDS. Recognizing this, PNF has implementing a dedicated nutrition initiative aimed at addressing the unique dietary requirements of HIV-positive children
PNF's focus on marginalized communities goes beyond immediate relief, emphasizing equitable, sustainable, and affordable water and sanitation services.
Our "Housing for the Homeless" initiative is a beacon of change, providing not just shelter but a foundation for a brighter future.
Food Security and Sustainable Farming
We empower farmers to adapt to extreme weather conditions and climate shocks while ensuring the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices and the establishment of resilient food systems.
PNF is dedicated to preventing human trafficking, rescuing victims, and providing comprehensive rehabilitation. Our program empowers victims of trafficking, offering alternatives to break free from the cycle of exploitation, fostering a brighter future, and liberating them from the clutches of traffickers.

Our Impact
Over nearly two decades of grassroots engagement, People in Need Foundation has directly transformed over 53,580 lives. Our outreach spans education, livelihoods, water and sanitation, housing, healthcare, agriculture and more. Thousands of children, women, youth, farmers and families have benefitted from improved access, awareness, skills, resources and opportunities. Together with communities and partners, we have enabled positive change across 10 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Where We Work
Targeted Interventions in Andhra Pradesh:
Since our founding in 2005, People in Need Foundation has strategically focused our developmental efforts within specific underserved regions of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
We select our program locations based on rigorous assessment of socio-economic indicators and inputs from communities to identify the most marginalized areas with greatest need. This careful mapping and priority-setting ensures our interventions are targeted for maximum impact.
Starting from the Guntur district where our organization took root, we have expanded our presence across the following key districts based on need-driven selection: Parvathipuram, Vizianagaram, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Prakasam, Anantapur, Sri Satyasai, Kurnool, Kadapa.
Our sustained engagement in these regions enables us to gain grassroots insights, build relationships of trust, and co-design interventions customized to community priorities. Over the years, our footprint has grown from villages to towns and cities, currently spanning over 150 locations. Our community-driven approach helps enhance outcomes.
While our focus is on uplifting vulnerable groups like children, women and youth within Andhra Pradesh, our vision remains making positive change accessible to every individual in need. We hope our story of grassroots impact inspires others to join hands and magnify our reach.
